WELCOME VISITORS AT THE WAYNE COUNTY WELCOME CENTER AT THE NATCHEZ TRACE: The new welcome center is looking for friendly faces to meet and greet visitors at our new Welcome Center.  Phone the Chamber 724-4337 or chamber@netease, or the Welcome Center, 724-4347 to get an application.

HOST AN EXCHANGE STUDENT: Pacific Intercultural Exchange has many students from around the world who dream of coming to America to study for a year. Young people 15 to 18 years old will begin arriving in August to spend the 2006-07 school year with a caring family. For more information call area representatives Larry or Jennifer 722-7443.

4-H CLUB LEADERS NEEDED:  The Wayne County 4-H Program is seeking volunteers who want to make a difference in the lives of children. Volunteers are needed to meet with
4th and 5th grade 4-H clubs in Clifton, Collinwood, and Waynesboro.  This is a great way to become involved with the local schools, and to connect with some wonderful children!

Applicants will be screened. Training will be provided. The Tennessee 4-H Program is the youth educational component of The University of Tennessee Agricultural Extension Service which offers its programs to all eligible persons regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:  The Wayne County Health Department is compiling a list of community volunteers who could be contacted to assist in providing emergency response in the event of a post smallpox event.  You will be asked to complete a Mass Clinic Volunteer Form.  Phone the Health Department at (931) 722-3292 for more information.

DELIVER MEALS ON WHEELS:  Senior Citizens has a need for volunteers to deliver meals to elderly Wayne County Residents.  Route will take as little as 30 or 40 minutes out of your day.  A wonderful opportunity to meet new people and serve members of your community.  Phone Martha Beckham at Senior Citizens, 931 722-3514.
